Meet Dr. Furnas
Dr. Heather Furnas is an accomplished Santa Rosa plastic surgeon who obtained both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University in 1980. She then completed her medical degree at UCLA School of Medicine in 1984 before returning to Stanford for a 6-year plastic surgery residency.
After spending a year in Kenya with her father, a world-renowned plastic surgeon who also volunteered with the East African Flying Doctors, Dr. Furnas was inspired to volunteer as well, using her skills and experience abroad to serve the needs of children with birth defects in Peru, Honduras, Western Samoa, the Philippines, and El Salvador.
An artist in many ways, Dr. Furnas also has a passion for theatre, ballet, and music. Her work can be found on display at the practice.
